Landlord’s Agent Registration Information

If you are an owner of rental property in the town of Madison, Silver Lake, or the Village District of Eidelweiss, you may be required to file a landlord agent registration form with the Town Clerk’s Office.

Per New Hampshire State Law RSA 540:1-b, I or II

Effective January 1, 2011

An owner of restricted property, within 30 days of becoming the owner or within 30 days of the effective date of this section, whichever occurs later, must file a statement with the town clerk of the municipality in which the property is located….

    Please read NH RSA Sections 540:1, 540:1-a, and 540:1-b carefully to determine if your property requires a designated agent.

    If it is determined that you are required to file, please submit the Landlord’s Agent Designated Respondent Affidavit along with a $15.00 filing fee, payable to the Town of Madison, NH.  For the landlord’s agent affidavit form.
